anticipated, transient aPTT elevations of approx 3, 5, and 10 s occurred after doses of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mg/kg, respectively. Moreover, we found that the clinical outcome changes were corroborated by an overall reduction in intestinal mucosal ICAM-1 expression after treatment with the 2 mg/kg dose.
